Woman Lake is widely considered one of the region’s major fisheries by experienced anglers. It has abundant structure, many rock sand points, bays and deep holes that challenge all anglers, but is home to excellent populations of walleyes, smallmouth, bass and panfish. It is also known for its good northern population and muskellunge.
Woman Lake is one of the few remaining natural reproducing walleye lakes in the state. Along with the yearly stocking program by the DNR and Woman Lake Association, Woman Lake’s walleye fishing is as good as it has ever been.
