Woman Lake is widely considered one of the region's major fisheries by experienced anglers. It has abundant structure, many rock sand points, bays and deep holes that challenge all anglers, but is home to excellent populations of walleyes, smallmouth, bass and panfish. It is also known for its good northern population and muskellunge.
Woman Lake is one of the few remaining natural reproducing walleye lakes in the state. Along with the yearly stocking program by the DNR and Woman Lake Association, Woman Lake's walleye fishing is as good as it has ever been.
The extraordinary fishing available at Woman Lake Lodge comes with every cabin. Woman Lake, and neighboring Girl and Child Lakes, offers the best in walleye, northern and muskie fishing. Panfish and bass are also popular catches throughout the summer. Fall fishing, combined with miles of forest trails for hunting woodcock and grouse are great tension relievers.
